The performer shows a newspaper (or magazine).

He flicks through a few pages to show there is nothing out of the ordinary about it, he then folds it open and proceeds to pour liquid into it!

The magician opens out the newspaper again and flips through the pages- the liquid is gone!

He then folds it open and pours the liquid back out again, leaving the newspaper dry and undamaged!
